One day an expert in religious matters came to Jesus and asked him the following question, “What is the greatest commandment that God ever gave to mankind?” I’m sure he expected an answer based on rules, but much to his surprise, Jesus said that relationships were His Father’s top priority. Check this out from Matthew 22:
37 Jesus replied, "'You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.'* 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 A second is equally important: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'* 40 The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments."
God placed a premium on building quality, God-centered relationships, and at New Hope our Small Groups reflects this:
