I will never fail you. I will never abandon you." So we can say with confidence, "The LORD is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?" Hebrews 13:5,6

Chuck DeBellis

Small Groups Coordinator

Chuck DeBellis A native of Elizabeth Township, Chuck has been married to Justine for 41 years and together they have attended New Hope Assembly of God since 1987. In August of 2007 they became the proud grandparents of Julianne Emory, who lives with their daughter and son-in-law in Northern Virginia.

In his free time Chuck enjoys reading and working in his wood shop. His favorite saying is “How much wood could a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood.” Actually, his favorite saying is “Life is like a coin. You can spend it any way you want, but you can only spend it once.” His sense of humor is just a favorite past time.

Chuck’s love of history is evident by looking at his office bookshelf. His latest read: 1776 by David McCaloum is waiting to be finished. Also in his office, Chuck has an engraved plaque of Isaiah 40:31 “But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.”

His favorite scripture is Jeremiah 29:11, 12 “For I know the plans I have for you. They are plans for good and not disaster to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen.”

Chuck’s heart for small groups dates back to 1981 when he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior through the ministry of a small group. His desire for ministry through small groups at New Hope is that they would provide a deeper understanding of God’s word and help others grow in their faith and develop lasting relationships, while reaching those in the community who desperately need Jesus.
