For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13

Jennifer O'Brien Hometown:
I was raised in a little town called Lebanon, Maine. It's about 2 1/2 miles from the New Hampshire border, so we did more in New Hampshire than Maine!

On Staff Since:
My husband became Senior Pastor at New Hope on July 15th, 2002 (his first work day).

Interesting Fact:
I am currently writing a book! I am about 2/3 done with it. It is a Biblical Historical Novel about the romance between Rahab and Salmon. It is fiction based on fact. So far it's been about 90 percent research and 10 percent writing -- very challenging!

What's On My iPod:
The Message Bible and a lot of worship music. I'm not sure which artists exactly, because it needs to be re-charged.

On Office Wall:
My home is my office! I enjoy a French Country style of decorating.

Favorite Bible Passage:
"But then something happened! For it pleased God in His kindness to choose me and call me, even before I was born! What undeserved mercy! Then He revealed His Son to me so that I could proclaim the Good News about Jesus to the Gentiles..." Galatians 1:15,16

  • Family:
I am married to a sweet guy named Lance. You can check out his bio too. I have two younger brothers, 6 nephews, and 2 nieces on my side of the family. On my husbands side I have 8 sets of brother and sister in-laws and tons of nieces and nephews. I love my three kids -- Alexandria, Brendon, and Gabrielle!

    In My Free Time:
I do A LOT of reading. I like scrapbooking, but it seems I never have time to haul it all out to work on it.

    Unfinished Book On The Shelf:
"Twelve Ordinary Men" by John MacArthur and "The True Measure of a Woman" by Lisa Bevere

    Mission Trips:
I have been to Mexico twice to work in the Colonias. As the kids get older, I hope to go on more! I am currently working with YWAM to plan a trip with our teens to Peru and we are all very excited about it!

    Ministry Goals:
I very excited to be doing youth again. That's how I got my start in ministry with my husband, but haven't worked in that arena in over a decade. A lot has changed in a decade!!! It is very challenging and I'm having fun. If you want to know my goal, check out our STRONG Youth Ministries section, it's all there!

    Favorite Saying:
    "That's so cool!"
